Don't know if this is possible, or a bad idea, but...
what about an EQ where the frequency follows based on midi pitch data?
So when a VSTi plays A 440, the EQ frequency is at 440 (I would subtract 12db, to reduce masking). When the VST plays C#, the EQ moves up to whatever frequency that is.
Getting it to do the same with the first or second harmonic would be easy, but I'm wondering if there's just any way to have an EQ band follow midi pitch data.
